Have you heard about the Green Fashion Revolution? It is a contest held by Aboitiz Foundation at SMX Convention Center, SM Aura last January 30,2016.

"The Aboitiz Green Fashion Revolution (GFR) is an initiative under our Wealth on Waste Program that promotes creative recycling of waste materials after its useful life. This inter-collegiate fashion design competition highlights the Aboitiz Group’s sustainability mindset that we can do well by doing good, always making the right long-term decisions that balance the interests of people, planet, and profit."

Together with my friends, we were able to get the 5 special awards including the CHAMPION title. Our collection is centered on water pollution and how we affect it. The whites and blues at the start symbolize how clean our waters used to be. It takes us back to the time when our waters could actually breathe. As time passes by, we, its caretakers, figure out more and more ways to disrupt its system rather than actually care for it, hence the colors of the garments getting darker and darker.
